Book Reviews

This is Bernardo’s first novel and it is excellent.  It’s a real-life look into Winnipeg’s gang culture which, apparently, she witnessed up close.  It’s also a quick read and I think, well-written, keeping the reader interested every step of the way.  The main character, G Child, has a very tough exterior (like most gang members) but cares deeply for her friends and struggles regularly to keep that side to herself.

This book is a must read and I can’t wait for Sabrina Bernardo’s next novel!
